Welcome to Tiny Hearts, where compassion meets action. Our journey began with a simple conversation that sparked a powerful movement. During a meeting with Dr. O. P. Yadav, Chairman of the National Heart Institute, we learned about a troubling trend: most children brought in for life-saving heart surgeries were boys.

Several studies have highlighted gender disparities in the treatment of congenital heart disease (CHD) in India. One comprehensive study conducted at a tertiary care center in India involving over 15,000 children found that male children were 50% more likely to receive surgical interventions for CHD compared to female children. 

This starkly highlighted the gender bias in our society, where boys often receive more medical attention than girls.

Determined to make a difference, a high school student from New Delhi, Kyra Sama, founded Tiny Hearts. Our mission is twofold: to fund heart surgeries for underprivileged children and to raise awareness about gender inequality in healthcare. We believe that every child, regardless of gender, deserves the chance to live a healthy life.

Since our inception, we have raised Rs. 3,100,000 and funded numerous surgeries, bringing hope and healing to families in need.But our work goes beyond financial assistance. Through advocacy and education, we strive to create a world where all children receive equal medical care and opportunities. At Tiny Hearts, we are driven by the belief that every heartbeat matters.
